Early Universe Cosmology

About me

I am an Assistant Professor of Physics and Astronomy at High Point University.

 

I earned a B.Sc. in both Physics and Astronomy at the University of Texas at Austin in 2017. During my time at UT Austin, I worked with Dr. Ivan Ramírez on the chemical abundances in stars as well as with Dr. Steven Finkelstein on Active Galactic Nuclei.

 

Afterwards, I moved to Socorro, NM and worked as a Data Analyst for the Very Large Array observatory (2018-2019) until moving to Chapel Hill, NC in 2019. At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I earned my M.Sc in Physics (2022) and my PhD in Physics (2025) under the direction of Dr. Adrienne Erickcek.  

Research Overview

My research employs theoretical physics and computational modeling to better understand the nature of dark matter, dark energy, and the earliest epochs of our Universe.

Expansion History

Precise observations of the Cosmic MIcrowave Background allow us to investigate alternatives to our standard model of the evolution of the Universe. 

Probes of small-scale structure

Observations of stellar structures around a galaxy can shed light on the nature of dark matter.
